PTCL today introduced this EVO Wingle, a WiFi Dongle running on 9.3 Mbps Rev B network to create a WiFi hotspot in circumference of 100 meters of Dongle.
Unlike PTCL’s Tenda Routers and Nitro WiFi Cloud, EVO Wingle is a USB WiFi device which can get connected through any power source to create a WiFi hotspot for internet sharing on all WiFi enabled devices in the area.
For instance, you can connect Evo Wingle in your car tape to create a WiFi hotspot in car and around to enable internet access on your WiFi enabled smartphones, or laptops for that matter.
So all you need is a USB power source to get connected to internet.
PTCL says that EVO Wingle is a hybrid device and it switches between PTCL EVO and Nitro networks based on availability. EVO Wingle will look for Nitro network first to offer 9.3 Mbps speeds, however, if Nitro isn’t available then Wingle will switch to Evo to offer 3.1 Mbps speeds.
PTCL claims to have Nitro coverage in 200 cities while EVO coverage in 250 cities across Pakistan.
PTCL says that Evo Wingle comes with built-in security features that ensure optimum security for your device, so you have full control over the people and the devices that share your connection.
In order to ensure optimal security of your Wi-Fi connection, it is highly recommended that you change your security key (Wi-Fi Key) after first log-in.
